Kande Poultry Farm was established in 2008 on a one acre piece of land at Kakerenge in Wakiso district with 2,000 birds under the dip-litter system. Our experience with the less hygienic dip-litter system is what prompted us to carry out research on modern egg production systems.In 2013, the farm was shifted to Semuto Town Council in Nakaseke district where we established a modern state-of-the art poultry farm that has continuously improved its systems, not only in terms of infrastructures, but also biosecurity systems and proper management practices.The farm is located on a 21 acres piece of land in Nakaseke district, Semuto Town Council approximately 50 kilometers from Kampala city. It comprises of a state-of-the-art brooding facility, production houses and a feed mill.
