Green growth is a system or development paradigm that aims at catalyzing economic growth through the efficient use of natural, human, and physical capital in an inclusive manner along a low carbon emission, climate resilient development pathway.

According to OECD, Green Growth means fostering economic growth and development, while ensuring that natural assets continue to provide the resources and environmental services on which our well-being relies.

In efforts aimed at ensuring that we maintain global low carbon levels, ensure efficient resource use and nurture social inclusion, in 2018 a group of green growth enthusiast sat and came up with an agenda to champion green growth in Uganda. These enthusiasts agreed to use a Green Growth Champion model as the preferred approach to achieving green growth. As such, in June 2022, “Green Growth Champion’s Network” was registered as a company limited by guarantee.
